Training to Run Forever is built on one idea. The point isn’t to run fast for a season. It’s to still be running in ten, twenty, thirty years.
Most running advice is written for people chasing a first race or a personal best. That leaves out the runners who just want to keep going for life: the ones coming back after a layoff, the ones who started later, and the ones who have run for decades and want to stay durable as the years add up.
That’s what this site is about. The training that lasts:
- Running by effort, not ego: heart rate, breath, and the talk test.
- Easy days easy, hard days hard.
- Strength and mobility, because running alone won’t keep you durable.
- Walking and walk-run as real training, not as failure.
- Coming back after a break without getting hurt.
No magic programs and no hype. Just plain, practical training for ordinary runners who plan to keep their shoes on for a long, long time.
This site offers general training information, not medical advice. If something hurts, or before a big jump in effort, check with your doctor.
